Police Blotter: Robbery at LIRR Station

July 12 to July 16

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Robbery Arrest

On July 16, a Massapequa Park man was arrested for a robbery at the Massapequa Long Island Rail Road station, police said. Stephen MInchella allegedly held a BB gun to a man's face and asked for his belongings at 4:20 a.m.. Mincehella was later arrested at his home, cops said.

Burglaries 

On July 18, a burglary was reported at Fantastic Toyage on Merrick Road. Somebody broke the glass front door and took $250, police said.

On July 14, Someone broke into a residence on Clark Boulevard and took a Laptop, an iPod Touch, assorted jewelry, a digital camera, a video camera and a Nook, police said. The theft occurred between 11 a.m. and noon.

DWI Arrest

On July 16, Kevin M Leilly, 56, of Oyster Bay, was arrested on Redwood Lane near Bel Air Drive, Massapequa and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and one violation of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.

Vehicle Arrest

On July 12, Russell C Sykes, 28, of  Holbrook, was arrested on Sunrise Highway near Block Boulevard and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed 2nd and 2 violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.

Petty Larceny Arrests

On July 12, a West Babylon woman was arrested at Wal-Mart at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petty Larceny.

On July 13, a Massapequa woman was arrested at Kohl’s, 5300 Sunrise Highway, Massapequa and charged with Petty Larceny.

On July 15, a Hempstead women was arrested at Wal-Mart at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petty Larceny.

On July 16, a Wyandanch woman was arrested at Wal-Mart at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petty Larceny and Resisting Arrest.

On July 16, a Uniondale woman was arrested on Carman Mill Road near Old Sunrise Highway, Massapequa and charged with Petty Larceny.

On July 16, a Bethpage  woman was arrested at JC Penny at the Sunrise Mall  and charged with Petty Larceny.

On July 16, a Bethpage man was arrested at Sears at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petty Larceny.
