Police Blotter: Several Cars Vandalized

Feb. 27 to March 8.

On March 5, the owner of a car reported that property was stolen from the vehicle. The 1990 silver Toyota had been parked on a driveway on Elm Street overnight.

On March 5, the owner of a 1999 white Ford Suburban discovered that one of the vehicles rear tires had been slashed, police said. The Suburban had been parked overnight on a driveway on Biltmore Boulevard.

On Feb. 27, the cap to a light pole on Massapequa Avenue worth $150 was discovered missing, police said.

On March 3, Jayson Hernandez, 23 of  Massapequa, was arrested on Sunrise Highway eastbound and Bellmore Avenue, Massapequa and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Vehicle 3rd, and two violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.

On March 3, a Massapequa was arrested in Macy’s, at the  Sunrise Mall and charged with Petit Larceny.

On March 4, Andrew K Wade, 21 of Massapequa Park was arrested on Eastlake Avenue, Pittsburgh Avenue, Massapequa Park and charged with Menacing 2nd and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon 4th.

On March 4, Edward M Duncan, 50 of Elmont, was arrested on Park Lane southbound at Merle Avenue, Massapequa and charged with 2 counts of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Vehicle 3rd, Aggravated Unlicensed 2nd, 2 counts of Unlicensed Operator, and 3 violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.

 On March 6, Melissa Navas, 22 of Massapequa was arrested on Sycamore Street, Massapequa and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Vehicle 3rd, and Unlicensed Operator.

On March 6, a Plainview man was arrested in Macy’s, at the Sunrise Mall, and charged with Petit Larceny.
