Police Blotter: Suspicious Driver Approaches 12-Year Old Girl

Incident reports from the Seventh and Eighth Precincts from June 15 to June 21.

The following information is taken directly from the Nassau County Police Department's Seventh and Eighth Precinct incident reports. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime.

On June 17, a 12 year-old girl told her mother that a man in a purple Suburban pulled up next to her as she was walking home from the bus on Rose Street in Massapequa Park. The driver asked her to help him and she ran home, police said.  The next day the same girl saw said she saw the same vehicle driving slowly down her block .  

On June 17, three people suffered elevated levels of carbon monoxide from a gas powered water pump operating near an open window on Bay Drive. They were transported to Nassau University Medical Center conscious and alert.

On June 16, Deterlino Campos, 39, of Patchogue was arrested on N. Rutherford Ave and N. Broadway, Massapequa and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 2nd and two violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.

On June 16, a Westbury  woman was arrested at JC Penney at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petit Larceny.

On June 16, a Levittown woman was arrested at JC Penney at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petit Larceny.

 On June 17, a Lindenhurst  woman was arrested at JC Penney, at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petit Larceny.

On June 17,  a Hicksville  woman was arrested at JC Penney, at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petit Larceny.

On June 17, a Babylon woman was arrested at JC Penney, at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petit Larceny.

On, June 18,  an Amityville  woman was arrested at Sears at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petit Larceny.

On June 21, Dainel Petrizzo, 23, of Massapequa was arrested on Forrest Ave and Merrick Rd, Massapequa and charged with Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument, Possession of a Dangerous Weapon 4th and three violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.

On June 21, Thomas Uhl, 50, of Lindenhurst was arrested on Melrose Ave, Massapequa and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 2nd and 3rd, and six violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.

On June 21, Wayne House, 33, of Holtsville was arrested on Sunrise Hwy and Broadway, Massapequa and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended Registration, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 3rd, and six violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
