Police Blotter: Teen Busted for Car Break-ins

June 21 to June 27.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

On June 22, an Amityville teen, who had a knife, was arrested for breaking into a car, police said. Jonathan Aitcheson was spotted running south on Philadelphia Avenue in Massapequa Park at 3:40 a.m. according to police. Cops had been called to the scene after several car alarms went off in the neighborhood. They nabbed Aitcheson and recovered a gravity knife, cell phone and an iPod. Aitcheson then tried to flee and headed west on Euclid Avenue jumping over fences and cutting through yards, cops said. He was caught on Atlantic Avenue. It was later determined that Aitcheson was in possession of a cell phone that had been stolen from a car on Park Lane in Massapequa Park, police said. Aitcheson was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of a Dangerous Weapon 4th and Resisting Arrest.

On June 23, a home on North Beech Street in North Massapequa was broken into, police said. A buglar pushed in an air conditioning unit and took $2,700 and a metal lock box, police said.

On June 27, a 2009 white Toyota was stolen from a home on Locust Street in Massapequa, police said.

On June 26, a man was assaulted after leaving McCanns Pub, cops said. As the victim was walking on Carmans Mill Road, he was attacked by two men about 12:30 a.m. The men broke the victim's collar bone, police said.

On June 21, a Rosedale man was arrested at Wal-Mart at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petty Larceny.

On June 21, a  Huntington man was arrested at Wal-Mart at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petty Larceny.

On June 22, a Wyandanch man was arrested at Wal-Mart at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petty Larceny.

On June 23, a Lindenhurst woman was arrested at Wal-Mart at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petty Larceny.

On June 23, a Massapequa woman was arrested at Kohl’s, 5300 Sunrise Highway, Massapequa and charged with Petty Larceny.

On June 24, Ronald Roldan, 30, of Lindenhurst, was arrested on Ritter Avenue near County Line Road, Massapequa and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed 2nd and 2 violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.

On June 24, a Wantagh woman was arrested at Kohl’s, 5300 Sunrise Highway, Massapequa and charged with Petty Larceny.

On June 24, a Massapequa woman was arrested at Kohl’s, 5300 Sunrise Highway, Massapequa and charged with Petty Larceny.

On June 25, a Wantagh man was arrested at Wal-Mart at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petty Larceny.

On June 25, a Garden City woman was arrested at Kohl’s, 5300 Sunrise Highway, Massapequa and charged with Petty Larceny.

On June 27, a South Farmingdale woman was arrested at Kohl’s, 5300 Sunrise Highway, Massapequa and charged with Petty Larceny.
