On March 15, A woman left her pocket book inside her unlocked red 2002 Mercedes at 2:30 p.m., police said. When she returned to the car parked on Stone Boulevard about three hours later, she discovered she was missing a diamond wedding ring and a bracelet.

On March 19, Heather Mathes, 23, of Massapequa was arrested on Carmans Mill Road and Merrick Road, Massapequa and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, and two violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
