Police Blotter:Robbery at LIRR Station

Jan. 12 to Jan. 18

A commuter at the Massapequa Long Island Rail Road Station was robbed Tuesday morning, police said. The victim was using an automatic ticket machine on the street level when the robber approached. He grabbed the victim's wallet and bags. After a struggle, he was able to grab the wallet and fled to a car. The victim followed him, but he drove  off on Sunrise Higheay in a Nissan. The robber got away with $140 cash, credit and social security cards, police said.

On January 17, a theft was discovered at the Massapequa Church of God, police said. Somebody broke in the church after hours between Sunday and Monday and stole $500 in cash and $500 in checks.  A computer was  knocked down during the theft, police said.

On January 16, a home on Emily Street was burglarized, police said.  The thief cut a window screen and entered through an unlocked bedroom window, and stole a laptop, police said.

On January 11,  an Amityville woman was arrested at JC Penny at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petit Larceny.

On  January 11, Thomas Kelly, 24,  of Massapequa, was arrested at the 7th Precinct Station House and charged with Leaving the Scene of an Incident without a Report.

On January 13, a Massapequa Park  man was arrested at Wal-Mart at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petit Larceny.

On January 14, an Amityville woman was arrested at JC Penny at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petit Larceny.

On January 16, Jeffrey Stark, 47 ,of Massapequa, was arrested on Spruce Street, Massapequa and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, Operating a Motor Vehicle with Suspended Registration and 3 Violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.

On January 17, Kyle Eldora,  22 of  Moriches, was arrested on Sunrise Highway and Block Boulevard, Massapequa and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and 3 Violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.

On January 17, a Lindenhurst  woman was arrested at Macy’s at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petit Larceny.

On  January 17, Jeffery White, of Amityville was arrested on Violet Street, Massapequa Park and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Intoxicated, Resisting Arrest, 2 Counts of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Vehicle 3rd, and 1 Violation of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
