Police Report: Vehicle Larcenies and DWI

Aug 24 to Sept. 3.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Vehicle Larcenies

On Aug 27, a car was broken into at Marjorie Post Park, police said. The owner discovered her passenger side window was broken and he pocketbook was stolen sometime between 1:07 p.m and 2:45 p.m.

On Aug. 24, a tablet was stolen from a car in the parking lot of the Verizon store at 5070 Sunrise Highway, police said. The theft took place between 4 p.m. anf 5:30 p.m.

On Aug. 30,  a wallet was discovered missing from a vehicle parked on Burton Lane East, police said.

On Aug. 30 Csh was discovered missing from an unlocked vehicle on Avenue Louise between 1 a.m. and 8:20 a.m., police said.

On Sept. 1, a woman discovered her pocketbook had been stolen from her car, police said.

The thefts happened sometime between midnight and 10 a.m.

Petty Larceny

On Sept. 2 copper was reported stolen on North Nassau Avenue. The thefts took place sometime over the previous few days going back to Aug. 28, police said.

DWI

On Sept. 1 a 50 year old Massapequa man was arrested at the intersection of SUnrise Highway and  Hicksville Road at 8:52 p.m., police said. He was charged with DWI and Aggravated DWI.
