Question of the Day: Remembering Agent John Capano

A veteran ATF agent from Massapequa was killed stopping a robbery.

It was a tragic weekend for Massapequa and the surrounding area as John Capano, an off duty agent for the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms and Explosives was shot and killed while trying to stop a robbery.

The shooting happened on New Year's Eve and capped a difficult year for law enforcement in Nassau County.

Two Nassau county police officers, Geoffrey Breitkopf and Michael Califano were killed in the line of duty.

It's been a very sobering reminder that these dedicated officers lay their life on the line every day for us.
