Raymond Roth Pleads Guilty to Restraining Order Violation

"Missing Swimmer" from Massapequa was charged for calling his wife.

Raymond Roth, the Massapequa man accused of faking his death at Jones Beach last year has plead guilty to violating an order of protection.

The charges stem from an August 2012 arrest when Roth contacted his wife the day after being released on bail  on insurance fraud charges.

He made three calls to his wife according to court papers.

Roth, who now lives in Long Beach,  was sentenced to time served Tuesday by Judge Helen Voutsinas on Tuesday according to a spokesman for Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice.

He  plead guilty in march to faking his death at Jones Beach in order to collect insurance money, but was later arrested on arrested on kidnapping charges in connection with a March 16 incident in Freeport. Roth allegedly followed a woman and demanded she get into his van, claiming he was a cop.
