A Massapequa woman reportedly carried on an affair with a married Nassau cop, while he was on duty.
Officer Mike Tedesco, 43, was involved with Tara Obenauer, a 42-year-old Wall Street executive, from July until February, according to a report in the New York Post.
The officer allegedly parked his police cruiser in her driveway during their trysts and during dozens of on-duty visits to her home.
"He would be at my house for hours during his shift, hanging out in his uniform on the couch, watching TV with my kids, taking a nap," Obenauer, who is single, but had children from a prior relationship, told the paper.
She also claimed that Tedesco would have other officers cover for his absences, telling her, "Let the...newbies chase these kids from their parties and go to house alarm calls.’’
Tedesco was suspended after one of Obenauer's neighbors became suspicious and told police. A check of the GPS records of his patrol car revealed that he had visited the location at least 57 times, according to the Post.
Obenauer later wrote an apology to Tedesco's wife, who has remained supportive of her husband.
The 17-year veteran is still receiving his pension, the paper reported.
