A man staying at an East Massapequa motel choked and robbed his girlfriend Sunday morning, Nassau County police said.
The incident at the Budget Inn on Carman Road took place at about 9:25 a.m. Sunday.
Tyleek Bussie, 20, allegedly took his girlfriend's phone and refused to return it. An argument escalated and Bussie began to to choke her, cops said. She suffered minor injuries.
He also allegedly pulled a gun and grabbed money and another cell phone from her, before fleeing.
Bussie eventually returned and was arrested. Cops said they recovered a loaded .22 caliber handgun an the money he took.
Bussie was was charged with robbery, weapons possession and criminal obstruction of breathing.
