Update: Robbery at Sunrise Highway GameStop

Four schools went on lockdown after noontime holdup.

An armed robbery at the store on Sunrise Highway caused several area schools to go into lockdown for a brief time Monday, Nassau Police said. 

Nobody was hurt in the holdup, which took place at 12:19 p.m.

Three men wearing masks entered the store and ordered the 27-year-old store manager to the back of the store. One of the men had a gun, according to cops.  The robbers stole video games, consoles and an unknown amount of cash before fleeing out the back door.

As a result of the police activity,, and Elementary Schools were placed on lockdown, as was , school officials said. The lockout was lifted after about an hour.
