The victim in Monday night's fatal hit and run accident on Merrick Road has been identified as a 62-year old Massapequa man, Nassau County police said Wednesday.
Donald Herring was killed as he was crossing Merrick Road near Carmen Mill Road 8:50 p.m.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. There have been no arrests made in the case, and police said they're still looking for a dark car, possibly a black Nissan 300zx.
The car was last seen traveling east on Merrick Road.
