Weigh in on Accident Arrest

Now that a suspect has arrested in police chase that started in North Massapequa, what are your thoughts?

It was an incident that spooked North Massapequa. 

As suspicious vehicle was spotted in the area and when police were alerted, the vehicle led an officer on a chase that ended in a terrible crash.

The officer, a veteran of the seventh precinct, had to be airlifted from the Southern State Parkway and the driver of the suspicious vehicle got away.

On Wednesday, police said they arrested the driver.  We'd like to know if the arrest makes you feel safer. Take our poll below. and weigh in with your comments.

You got to be kidding, Next time you need help and a Women Cop shows up lets see how you feel. Glad they caught the driver, hope they get his friend soon!!!

I'm so glad that b+*%@#if was caught. He took off not knowing if she was dead or alive. people who do that forget she's a cop second but she's some ones wife ,mother, daughter, sister first. Another human!!! God watched over her and I'm glad for that.

If women were so capable of doing the job, then why arent there any all women platoons in the military? All women firehouses? All women police precents? If they are so capable why isn’t this reality? ask yourself if you would rather live in a town with an all women police force or an all-male one?

This female cop has about 20 years on the street. A true professional.
