A Massapequa man was arrested this week under a law that makes it a felony to drive drunk with children.

Leandra's Law has been a highly publicized weapon in the war against drunk driving.

A Massapequa man, who Suffolk County police said was inebriated while driving his two young children under the law which makes it a felony to drive drunk with passengers under 15 years-old.

The law applies to all suspects including first time offenders. it was named after 11-year-old Leandra Rosado, who was killed in an accident on the Henry Hudson Parkway in 2009.
