Reckless Endangerment
On July 19, Crystal Bowden, 49, of Amityville was arrested at the Pathmark at 941 Carmans Road, East Massapequa and charged with reckless endangerment and petty larceny, police said. She allegedly tried to leave without paying and was confronted by a loss prevention officer. Bowden struck the store employee with her car while trying to leave causing leg injuries, police said.
Burglary
On July 23, a home was broken into on Melrose Avenue in Massapequa, police said. The burglar broke in through the rear window and made off with cash and Jewelry, police said.
Grand Larceny
On July 19, a car break-in was reported on Forest Avenue in Massapequa. A phone, GPS and other items were stolen sometime in the overnight hours, police said.
On July 23, Money was taken from a car on Division Avenue from a 1997 Green Nissan Maxima, police said.
Aggravated Unlicenced Operation of a Motor Vehicle
On July 20, Rayvon McCready, 29, of Baldwin was arrested on Central Avenue near Veterans Boulevard, Massapequa and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor Vehicle 3rd, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle 2nd and seven violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
