Cuomo: I'm Not Running for President

Cuomo says recent presidential poll numbers are pointless because he isn't running.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo said he wasn't surprised by a recent Siena College poll that showed he would lose his home state in a hypothetical race against New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

Speaking to the Buffalo News late last week, Cuomo reacted to the poll by saying "It said Chris Christie has better numbers for president than I do. Yeah, because he's running for president, and I am not."

The same poll shows Hillary Rodham Clinton with a 56 percent to 40 percent lead over Christie.

"Hillary Clinton is apparently running for president of the United States, and I should also say Chris Christie is apparently running for president of the United States,” Cuomo said to the Buffalo News. "I – very apparently – am not."

The Siena College poll also showed Cuomo with a comfortable lead in his bid for re-election.
