Oyster Bay Town Budget Hearings

Oyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto announced that the Town Board will hold a day and night hearing on Tuesday, October 19, on the proposed $242,878,344 2011 preliminary Town budget.

"The Town's budget is a straight-forward, fiscally responsible plan that makes strategic investments in parks, roads, planning and the environment, and maintains all the essential services and programs while providing the level of recurring revenue needed to guarantee a sound and properly balanced budget," Supervisor Venditto said. "All proposed spending has been thoroughly analyzed and the result is a lean, cost-efficient budget that enables Town departments to efficiently and effectively provide the programs and services that help make Oyster Bay's communities among the finest in the nation."

The hearings will be held in the Hearing Room of Town Hall North, 54 Audrey Avenue, Oyster Bay beginning at 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Following the regular Town business, the Town Board will be available to listen to public comment on any subject.
