Getting Ready for Future Floods

New York City is proposing a plan to combat climate change. Should Long Island follow suit.

The Mayor of New York City is concerned about more storms like Superstorm Sandy doing damage to the area.

Michael Bloomberg recently unveiled a $20 billion plan to beef of defenses against flooding and to combat the effects of global warming.

Bloomberg stressed the urgency of the work, in pitching the plan, while opponents pointed to the price tag and questioned the need for some of the proposals.
