This Saturday marks the 9th anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11th, 2001. Organizations across Long Island are holding memorial events this weekend in recognition of those who lost their lives.
There will be two events commemorating 9/11 in the Massapequas. The Town of Oyster Bay will hold a memorial at Tobay Beach, Friday, while the Village of Massapequa Park will hold a candlelight vigil on Saturday.
