An emergency preparedness drill at Massapequa High School scheduled for Monday morning will cause closures on Merrick Road, school officials said.
The drill will involve moving students and staff across the road to Burns Park and law enforcement and Town of Oyster Bay personnel will be on hand to assist.
Merrick Road in the area of the school will be closed sporadically between 9:15 a.m. and 10 a.m., officials said in an email to parents.
If there's inclement weather the drill will be rescheduled to Tuesday
