New York Rising to Hold Meeting at McKenna

Public meeting on reconstruction efforts.

New York Rising, the state sponsored program program given the task of assisting residents in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy will be holding a public meeting this month in Massapequa.

The meeting is open to area residents and will be held at McKenna Elementary School at 210 Spring Street in Massapequa Park from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

There was a meeting held by the organization last month the public is encouraged to weigh in on strengthening the community going forward and making the area better prepared for future storms.
