Massapequa Park Deputy Mayor Jeffrey Pravato and Trustee Teresa Spinosa were re-elected to the Village Board Tuesday after running unopposed .
Both candidates were elected together in 2002 and each will return for a sixth term.
In an election with very low turnout, Pravato, a securities trader and father of four received 133 votes, while Spinoza received 132 votes.
There were no write in votes according to Villiage Administrator Peggy Caltabiano.
Earlier this month Pravato told Patch, “We look forward to keeping fiscal responsibility in the Village. We want to keep that going, along with our beautification, reconstruction of the roads, and a balanced budget."
Spinosa also spoke to Patch last month saying, “There are a lot of challenges that face us - keeping out budget balanced, and keeping out taxes low – and we look forward to the next two years of continuing the work that we’ve done for the past ten.”
