Report: Lawyer Says Raymond Roth is in the Hospital

"Missing Swimmer" from Massapequa will face charges once he's released, according to attorney.

"Missing" Massapequa swimmer Raymond Roth is reportedly in the hospital undergoing psychiatric treatment, his lawyer said.

Attorney Brian Davis told the Associated Press that Roth, who but turned up alive a few days later, is at an undisclosed hospital and would  only be released "when doctors determine he is no longer a danger to himself."

Davis said Roth is suffering from depression, but will face criminal charges once he's released from the hospital.

He is being treated with medication, the lawyer said.

Roth's son, with insurance fraud and falsely reporting an incident this week. Prosecutors said he schemed to get $50,000 in life insurance claims. Court papers also indicated that Jonathan Roth admitted to making a false report to state Park police that his father had gone missing.
