Service Problems Hit Aqua New York Customers
Power outage causes pressure problems in Massapequa.
About 5,000 Aqua New York water customers in Massapequa experienced lower than normal water pressure Tuesday morning because of an electrical outage.
The outage which took place at 7:15 p.m. and forced the company to cut off power to two of their wells, according to company spokeswoman Mia Angiolillo.
The service problem lasted 20 minutes before water pressure was restored.

The company did not issue a boil water advisory. The Massapequa School District issued an advisory Tuesday morning saying their buildings were functioning normally.
