Tell Us Where The Potholes Are in Massapequa

It’s roadwork season, so let’s identify the streets that need repair.

Potholes! It’s the equivalent of a curse on Long Island.

These gravelly, asphalt mini graves are the scourge of any commute, spilling coffee and jarring your teeth at every opportunity.

It may have been a mild winter, but the roads around Massapequa still need fixing.

Patch is on a quest to uncover the roadways and intersections with the worst potholes. So sound off in the comments section and sound the alarm. Your car – and that minivan full of kids on the way to lacrosse practice – will thank you.

Spring kicks off road repair season. We’ll take your concerns to the highway department and get timetable for repair.

And don’t forget to check our local traffic map powered by Mapquest.

The streets in Nassau Shores are worse than ever ! I've witnessed street crews ( sometimes 7 or 8 men with 4 trucks ) watch one man spoon a shovel full of asphalt into a hole and just pat it down with the shovel . The next day the hole is empty , and the street is littered with the rocks from the asphalt ! Some streets have more sq ft. of patchwork than original pavement ! ! ! Maybe the town can raise taxes even higher so they can purchase 1 more shovel and 1 more bag of asphalt 10 more shiny new trucks and hire 8 or 10 more lazy unskilled employees . I live on the same block 17 years and it has never been repaved

The entire length of Brooklyn ave from Hicksville rd to Seaford ave, this road is so bad it forces truck traffic onto the local residential streets and they are starting to show the wear also.
