The Democrats' Woes
Republicans swept all of the TOBAY elections and at least one of the county legislative races.
Election Day was not a good one for area Democrats.
Republican incumbents won all of the offices at stake in the town of Oyster Bay and Peter Schmitt easily won re-election in Nassau County's 12th Legislative District.
While there's still a chance that Democrat Eva Pearson could win a seat in the 14th District, it was a less than stellar showing by area Dems, who do not hold any major elective office in the Massapequas.
