TOBAY Race: Democratic Town Council Candidates
Terry Kelly, Marc Laykind and Ally McNally are the Democratic challengers for the TOBAY board.
Challenger Marc Laykind
Marc Laykind (D) lives in his hometown of Plainview with his wife and two children. He has been a lawyer for 21 years in a private practice and has offices in Nassau County and Manhattan. This is his first time running for public office, but says he hopes to add diversity to the all-Republican town council while tackling major issues, including the "tremendous increase in debt" and "out of control spending."

Terry Kelly (D, I) is a resident of East Norwich and a former NYPD officer. A graduate of St. John's University, he has been running a process serving company for 22 years. He also ran a bar in East Northport for three years. He is a member of the Independence Party, but is running on the Democratic line. He has a wife and two young sons.
Challenger Ally McNally

Ally McNally (D) lives in Old Bethage where she works as a Realtor at Shawn Elliot Luxury Homes and Estates. She says she's not a career politician but is concerned about high property taxes. She supports additional senior and next generation housing. McNally is married and has three children.
