Town Receives Record Donations for Overseas Soldiers

Oyster Bay Town's supplies drive a big success.

The Town of Oyster Bay's sixth annual Soldier Collection Drive was its most successful yet, according to officials.

Donations of non-perishable food, hygiene products and other supplies were collected by the Town and delivered to U.S. Army Command Sergeant Fred Manney at Town Hall South. The goods will be shipped to troops stationed around the world.

More than 500 shoe boxes were also donated to create individual care packages.

CSEA Local president Robert J. Rauff helped encouraged workers and residents to contribute for the drive. He was on-hand for the delivery.
