VIDEO: Assemblyman Saladino Forms Task Force Against Heroin and Prescription Drugs

Saladino bands together law enforcement, health professionals, and distraught parents to combat a deadly problem.

12th District Assemblyman Joseph S. Saladino, R-Massapequa, held a press conference at South Oaks Hospital in Amityville on Wednesday, Aug. 10, to announce the formation of a new task force targeting the abuse of heroin and prescription drugs such as painkillers.

These two deadly drugs have been rising in popularity among teens in recent years, and Saladino hopes that his task force, comprised of members of law enforcement, health professionals, and distraught parents who have tragically lost their children to drugs, will be able to combat the problem before more young lives are lost.
