Video: Extra Police Patrols, Free Taxi Service This New Year's Eve

Mangano announces several plans to combat drunk driving this New Year's Eve.

Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano held a press conference Thursday morning in Mineola, where he announced extra police patrols this New Year's Eve in an attempt to curb the number of drunk driving incidents.

Free taxi service–which can be reached by calling 516-326-9090–will be available for anyone who needs a ride home and a bus chartered by Restaurants Against Drunk Driving (RADD) will shuttle patrons to and from their various establishments. Among the restaurants included in RADD are Sugar,Ciao Baby, Butera's, Savannah Lounge, West End Cafe and Zachary's.
