Village Board to Appoint New Trustee

Town official Dan Pearl to fill Harry Jacobson's seat.

The Massapequa Park Village Board is set to appoint Dan Pearl to fill the seat vacated by the death of Harry Jacobson, Mayor James Altadonna said.

Pearl, a Deputy Commissioner with the Town of Oyster Bay's Environmental Resources Department, will be appointed at next week's meeting.

Pearl has been a village resident for 14 years and is also a member of the Massapequa Fire Department.

He's married to a teaceher at and is a member of several community organizations, Altadonna said.

"We've worked with Dan in his various capacities with the town and alwyas found him to be very community oriiented and village oriented," Altadonna said.

The seat has been vacant since the who served six terms on the board.
