Weigh in on Anti-Piracy Bills

Many high-profile websites are protesting legislation on Wednesday. What do you think?

The internet looked a bit different on Wednesday.

Attempts to look something up on Wikipedia were blocked and the iconic Google logo was blacked out.

These websites and thousands of others are taking part in a protest against anti-piracy legislation before Congress.

Two Bills, the Stop Online Privacy Act (SOPA) and the Protect IP Act (PIPA) were written to protect copyright infringement and has the support of several record labels, trial lawyers and pharmaceutical companies, according to the Huffington Post.

But opponents, including the websites taking part in the protest, feel the bills would give the government too much power to censor the internet.

We want to know how you feel about the proposed bills. Take our poll below, and leave your thoughts in the comment section.
