The County Executive wants to merge eight precincts into four. What are your thoughts?

Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano and Police Commissioner Thomas Dale have announced a plan  to merge eight police precincts into four. 

The idea behind the plan to turn four existing precincts, including the eighth, into community policing centers, is to save money.

While County officials are saying the plan won't take cops off the street, there are questions about how a community policing center might operate.
