Weigh in on Presidential Primary

New York takes its turn in the presidential race, this week. Are we relevant?

This may not have been on your radar, but New York state has a presidential primary scheduled for Tuesday.

President Obama is running unopposed for the Democrats, but on the Republican side there will be a contested primary.

But many observers have said the race for Republican nomination has basically ended.

Mitt Romney holds a commanding lead in delegates and his closest competitor, Rick Santorum has suspended his campaign.

That leaves Romney, Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul still in the race. Although Sanotum will remain on the ballot in most areas.

While Romney has not grabbed enough delegates to secure the nomination, Gingrich and Paul are very far behind.
