Weigh in on Snow and Fireworks

The Village of Massapequa Park is planning to use some unused snow removal funds to pay for the annual fireworks show. Is it the right move?

The Village of Massapequa Park is swapping winter for summer.

The board voted to use $15,000 of those funds to hold the annual Fourth of July fireworks celebration.

Last year the fireworks celebration was nearly canceled before the Town of Oyster Bay stepped in with funds.

The show is always popular, but some believe the funds are best used elsewhere. We want to know what you think. Take our poll and weigh in with your comments below.
