A Berner Middle School student was suspended Thursday morning after carrying a knife to school, school officials said.
The incident happened sometime before 10 a.m. when the student was discovered to be in possession of a small pocket knife.
Staff members intervened and alerted authorities, according to a statement by the school district.
No arrest was made.
