Senator Kemp Hannon is sponsoring a FREE Skin Cancer seminar with The Mollie Biggane Melanoma Foundation during May, which is Melanoma Month.  The seminar will take place on Thursday, May 5, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Massapequa American Legion Post 1066 located at 66 Veterans Blvd in Massapequa.

There will be a presentation by The Mollie Biggane Melanoma Foundation as well as special guest speaker Dr. Peter O’Neill Chief of Dermatology at Winthrop University Hospital.

As a sophomore in college, Mollie Biggane discovered a mole on her thigh. During the following six months, she underwent surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. The Mollie Biggane Melanoma Foundation was created in her memory after her tragic death at the age of twenty.
