LICADD's Free Opioid Overdose Prevention Training Program

Long Island Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (LICADD) presents LIFE - OP (Long Islanders Fighting an Epidemic - Overdose Prevention)

Learn how you can help save a life in this free opioid overdose prevention training program.

Training is open to healthcare professionals & concerned members of the public including parents, educators and students over 18.  Registration is free.  Training takes place in Room A.

Opioid medications and Heroin are currently being abused in epidemic proportions.  This one hour lecture with a 20 minute demonstration will provide the proper training to any person interested in saving lives from opioid overdose.

Completion of this training program will qualify participants in the proper administration of Narcan, the antidote for opioid overdose.  This qualification protects the responder under the NYS "Good Samaritan" law.
