Town Hurricane Seminar

Oyster Bay Town's Department of Public Safety will host a hurricane seminar conducted by leaders in the fields of meteorology and emergency management.  It will be held on Monday, June 21, 7:00 p.m., at the Hicksville Fire Department Headquarters, 20 East Marie Street, Hicksville.  It will inform residents on how to prepare for a hurricane, when to evacuate, what to do when a storm hits and how to best respond during the aftermath of a hurricane or other severe weather event such as a nor'easter.

For more information you can call the Town's Department of Public Safety at 677-5350.  For hurricane safety tips, log onto the Town's website at www.oysterbaytown.com, and type "hurricane" into the search line on the lower left side of the homepage.  Hurricane Safety Reminders can also be found on the inside back cover of the 2010 Town Calendar.  The Town will be mailing all residents the above mentioned hurricane safety brochure, which contains vital information to help prepare for a hurricane or nor'easter.
