Live Results: Massapequa Budget Passes

Also, Gary Baldinger and Jane Ryan take seats on BOE.

Massapequa School District residents voted overwhelmingly in favor of the 2014-15 budget Tuesday, according to the district.

Of 4,307 votes cast, 3,101 people voted in favor of passing the budget compared to 1,206 who voted against it. The budget passed with 72 percent of the vote.

The 2014-15 budget totals $189,746,159 for the 2014-15 school year. The proposal calls for a 2.12 percent budget-to-budget increase from last year and a 1.98 percent tax levy increase. Read more in the district's budget pamphlet here. 

Also, Gary Baldinger and Jane Ryan were voted to the Board of Education.
