Deadline approaches for those interested in serving on the school board's four standing advisory committees.

The is asking for volunteers to serve on several of the board's advisory committees and the deadline is approaching.

The community members are being asked to serve on the school board's standing advisory committees for buildings and grounds, budget and finance, HIV/AIDS and the school safety committee.

The committees provide valuable information and guidance to the board which assist in goal-setting and planning, according to the district's website.
