The Massapequa Public School District announced that all schools were closed just after 5:15 a.m.
The cancelation is affecting high school exams. All midterms at the high school's Ames are canceled today, but Friday’s scheduled testing (Global Language Exams – Spanish, French, German) will go on as scheduled.

At the main campus, all Mid-terms, Regents and RCT exams were canceled.
Plainedge and Amityville Public Schools have also been closed.
