The Massapequa School District will resume checking bus passes on Monday after rules had been suspended in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
The school district eased the restrictions since many students who'd lost their homes weren't taking their normally assigned bus routes.
Parents of these students were still required to advise the district of their current living conditions.
Although the district will once again check bus passes, families who've lost their home and registered with the district to receive services under the McKinney Vento Act, will still receive services.
Children who were issued a temporary bus passes can contact the district transportation offices if they need an extension.
