Massapequa School officials have announced that two elementary schools will be closed on Thursday.
Birch Lane Elementary School, which is the only school in the district that has remained closed everyday since the district re-opened Tuesday will once again be closed Thursday.
But now McKenna Elementary School will also be closed, the district said, saying that the closings are due to "energy issues associated with [Wednesday's] storm."
McKenna had been open since Tuesday.
