Schools Closed Monday, Plans to Re-Open on Election Day

Massapequa School District tentatively schedules students return to school on Tuesday.

The Massapequa School District has canceled their sixth school day since Hurricane Sandy struck, announcing classes  have been canceled on Monday.

But kids who were counting on having Election Day off, may be disappointed.

The district has tentatively scheduled a full day of school for students on Tuesday, which originally had been scheduled to be a holiday.

The District said it will post information on their website to confirm the Tuesday start of school,  at a later date.

If it does go off as planned it will be a full day of classes, the district said.
