Voter's Guide: Massapequa School Budget, Board Elections

What you need to know for Tuesday's budget vote and school board election.

Massapequa School District residents will vote on the district's $189,746,159 budget for the 2014-15 school year Tuesday.

The proposal calls for a 2.12 percent budget-to-budget increase from last year and a 1.98 percent tax levy increase. Read more in the district's budget pamphlet here. 

Incumbent Gary T. Bennett, incumbent Jane Ryan, Amy Italiano, and Gary Baldinger are vying for seats on the Board of Education.

Voting will take place from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Massapequa High School.
