The Massapequa School Board laid out their goals for the current school year last week. Do you think they got it right?

The Massapequa Board of Education is getting to work now that new school year is in full swing.

Superintendent Charles Sulc for the 2012-13 school year.

They are:

  • Improve student achievement as measured by multiple and varied assessments.
  • Promote an environment that fosters respect, ethical behavior and responsible global citizenship.
  • Maintain the effective stewardship of district resources and physical assets in a manner that supports safe and healthy environments and optimizes student learning.
  • Advance Learning Through Technology to ensure that all students will employ technology to advance their learning through engaging, appropriate and challenging educational experiences

Sulc spoke in depth abouty each goal, saying for example, that they're developing a student support program which will address things like bullying and personal growth to address the second goal.
