The Massapequa community was recently updated about the state mandated standards, what do you think?
The Massapequa school board heard a presentation this week about Common Core Learning standards.
The standards are designed to strengthen college preparedness among American students. They've been adopted by New york and 44 of the 50 U.S. states.
The standards will be gaoal oriented and will stress uniformity in educations, with students often using the same texts and lessons.
