Chiefs Boys Volleyball Falls in County Title Game

Vikings advance to Long Island championship.

Port Washington beat previously undefeated Massapequa for the Nassau Class ‘A’ boys volleyball championship at Sunny Old Westbury College on Wednesday. 

The Vikings (13-4) won the final three sets of the match to defeat the five-time defending county champion Chiefs, (24-26), (25-18), (25-21) and (25-19).

Earlier in the tournament, No. 2 seed Port Washington defeated East Meadow in the first round and No. 2 seed Plainview JFK in the semifinals. 

Next up for the Vikings is the Long Island championship against the winner of Thursday's game between Lidenhurst and Sachem East.
